The very first performance of the theater, which six months after its opening won two "Kiev Pectorals": as the best performance of the year and as the best work of a choreographer. Radu Poklitaru showed Carmen the character that Prosper Mérimée wrote about, and for this he changed the order of the numbers in Georges Bizet's opera. So there is dancing, but you may be constantly drawn to sing along.

Carmen in this play is the heroine of a television movie in which everything goes on as usual: an amazing female fight, the first murder, arrest, Carmen chooses Jose for her own salvation, temptation, flight, asymmetrical love, predictions of death, the appearance of a star rival, insane jealousy ... But each time the course of events in the "TV movie" is directly influenced by a strange character in the play: a girl sitting in front of the TV.

Who is she? Why lead the lives of others? It turns out that she needs Jose: she was waiting for him and waited. Indeed, in Bizet's opera, the main character had a bride named Michaela, whom he abandoned ... And Radu Poklitaru showed what a character who was tired of being only auxiliary is capable of.
