"Make up" is a documentary-musical performance by actress Dakh Daughters
Documentary stories of actresses without makeup. A mirror image through which actresses look at themselves. Private stories, from which then, performances are born.
To say that you are an artist is a shame, because in general it seems that the life of an artist is a continuous holiday. And only he knows what is behind these festive scenes.
The actresses' make-up is conveyed not by "branded" make-up - a bleached face with puppet make-up, but by the quality of the stage presence, openness to the audience. This white veil unites different characters, different destinies, different sound of voice and soul of each of the actresses.
Spectators are delicately opened to the art kitchen, private stories, from which then, poems arise, songs are composed, performances are born. They give a deeper understanding of the well-known "the whole world - theater" - life is not divided into simple life and art - it is a continuous stream of life, the art of living.

The play uses texts by Tatiana Gavrilyuk, Solomiya Melnyk, Ruslana Khazipova, Zo, Anna Nikitina, Natalka Galanevich. Also poetry by Rubok Shaw, Mykhailo Semenko, Yevhen Pluzhnyk, Lina Kostenko, Lewis Carroll, Yuri Izdryk, Myroslav Layuk. The play also uses a composition by the band DakhaBrakha.
